At Four Letter Studio, Carl Jones creates abstract art using experimental printmaking, letterpress, linocut, fineliner pens, sharpies and marker pens. Each piece is a one-off original – not a print. Inspired by books, libraries, architecture, music, words and the rhythmic beat of sound, his intricate compositions reflect a unique fusion of structure and flowing creativity. Lettering pieces include swear words, song lyrics and inspirational sayings.

Carl's inspiration? 'What do I see? I see books, libraries. Buildings, architecture. I see people. Music, vinyl records. I hear the repetitive beat of a drum, the sound of a synthesiser. And I see words. This all inspires my art and what I print, draw and create. And I'm a great believer that non-aggressive swearing is good for mental wellbeing!'
