Carl creates abstract art using experimental printmaking, letterpress, linocut, fineliner pens, sharpies and marker pens. Each piece is a one-off, hand-drawn design. Based in his Shropshire studio, his work has gained recognition locally and nationally. Inspired by books, libraries, architecture, music, and the rhythmic beat of sound, his intricate compositions reflect a unique fusion of structure and creativity.

Carl's inspiration? 'What do I see? I see books, libraries. Buildings, architecture. I see people. Music, vinyl records. I hear the repetitive beat of a drum, the sound of a synthesiser. And I see words. This all inspires my art and what I print, draw and create.'
